Meet Team Russell Disc Golf for 2024

Russell Disc Golf has been in business for a little over a year and a half, with 2023 being our first full year. Thanks to great customers and support we have been able to grow over that time. In 2024 we are proud to be able to support and grow along side some exceptional people who love discs golf. Each one of these people showcase a contagious love for disc golf, great appreciation for our business, kindness to others, dedication for growth, and a love for the community. Our team may not be many but each one of them have left a great impression on us, and I’m sure they do the same for their communities. Here is our first Team RDG and a little bit about each member.

Stan Foster

I was introduced to disc golf in 2015. I've played all over the Knoxville, Tn area since moving here in 2021 and love the disc golf community that we have here. My favorite course in the area is Tommy Schumpert Park, but you are most likely to catch me at Claytons Disc Golf Course. If you ever see me throwing feel free to join in, it’s what makes this sport great. Pink disc fly further!

Paul Willamson

Paul williamson russell disc golf

I am a 52-year-old medical professional from Huntsville, Alabama. I used to struggle with obesity and poor health. However, in 2019, my son introduced me to disc golf which has completely transformed my life for the better. Since then, I have found purpose and happiness in my life. I have managed to maintain my ideal weight for over two years now and have adopted a healthy lifestyle. As a result, I feel better than I have in the last 15 years. I am actively involved in the local disc golf community where I founded Grateful Disc Golf. Our organization is responsible for organizing up to 10 charity fundraising tournaments every year. I have served as an officer for the “Rocket City Chain Gang” disc golf club in Huntsville, Alabama for three years. Additionally, I run a putting league every winter. I am excited to see where my future disc golf adventures will take me.
